Amphenol Q2 EPS and Revenues Top Street Views

Amphenol, manufacturer of electrical and fiber-optic connectors, cables, antennas, sensors and other related equipment, Wednesday reported better-than-expected Q2 earnings and strong revenues, and raised 2017 guidance.
Amphenol reported Q2 adjusted earnings of $0.81 per share, above the Street view of $0.72 as compiled by Capital IQ, and also above the $0.65 reported a year earlier.

The company reported Q2 revenues of $1.67 billion, compared to Street view of $1.62 billion, and above the $1.55 billion reported a year earlier. For Q3, Amphenol expects sales in the range of $1.70 billion to $1.74 billion and adjusted EPS of $0.77 to $0.79. The Street view is for $1.67 billion in sales and adjusted EPS of $0.76. For the FY, it expects sales of $6.62 billion to $6.70 billion, and adjusted EPS of $3.06 to $ 3.10. That compares prior guidance of $6.41 billion to $6.53 billion in sales and adjusted EPS of $2.91 to $2.97. The FY consnesus is for $6.55 billion in sales and $2.97 in adjusted EPS.
